Hadith - How to beg mercy from Allah

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "None of you should say, 'O Allah, forgive me if You will. O Allah, have mercy on me if You will.' He should be firm in his asking. No one can force Him." [Agreed upon]

In a variant of Muslim, 'He should be firm and should have great desire. Nothing is too great for Allah Almighty to give him."
